ERA began selling franchises in the USA in 1972 as Electronic Realty Associates. In 1981, ERA began its international expansion programme - a world first! Today, it is one of the world's leading residential real estate agency franchise networks, with in excess of 40,000 brokers and sales associates operating out of more than 3500 offices in 51 countries and territories. ERA was also the first international real estate group to enter the African continent.

Since 1993, when a master licensing agreement with ERA Franchise Systems Inc. USA was concluded, it has grown to be a formidable player within the real estate industry in South Africa. ERA South Africa merged with Jigsaw Holdings Limited in 1999 and is currently one of the largest real estate franchise groups in South Africa.

Presently ERA South Africa consists of close on 100 offices nationally and is represented throughout all nine provinces in South Africa. Our franchised offices offers you professional property services ranging from residential property sales in the expensive top end markets straight through to the entry level and affordable housing markets. We also deal in property rentals, holiday rentals, commercial and industrial properties, agricultural and game farms as well as new property developments.
